Hatchery Team Leader

Humber Recruitment are currently resourcing a Hatchery Team Leader for a client of ours based in Boston, Lincolnshire, on a full-time basis.
 
We are seeking a Team Leader to assist the Hatchery Management Team in the day-to-day running of the client’s facility, and to ensure the welfare of day-old chicks whilst maintaining the high standards of quality, hygiene, animal welfare and health and safety that are required.

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Monday-Sunday
Early morning starts

Responsibilities

Gain a full understanding of poultry at the client’s facility
Leading a small team
Assisting with daily production needs
Hygiene monitoring
Managing stores and supplies
Undertake various tasks within the hatchery
General cleaning and tidiness of all areas inside and outside the hatchery to ensure our high standards of biosecurity are adhered to at all times
Adhere to all codes of practice and bird welfare
Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
Undertake any other duties within the operation as and when required.

Skills & Experience

Previous hatchery experience, or factory/production experience
Supervisory experience would be advantageous
Technical knowledge, computer skills and basic mathematics are an advantage
Flexible and hard-working
Enthusiastic and a positive attitude to teamwork
Ability to work shifts
Own transportation required due to location
