About the role

Build EHOSS machines mechanically — frames, drives, conveyors and moving assemblies, from loose parts to a machine ready for test.

About the Role

EHOSS is looking for an experienced assembler to carry out the mechanical assembly, installation and test preparation of the automated machines we design and build ourselves. EHOSS develops and makes industrial equipment for agriculture and farms: FORAGE.PRO, BEDDING.PRO, REUSING.PRO and FRESHER.PRO are automated machines for processing hay and straw, preparing bedding, reusing organic waste and growing green fodder. We are looking for a technically capable specialist with hands-on experience assembling industrial machines, mechanisms or production equipment — somebody who works from engineering drawings on their own, fits mechanical assemblies and drives, makes the adjustments and checks the quality of the build. The work is the full mechanical assembly of a machine, from single parts and sub-assemblies to a finished industrial machine.

What you'll work on

  • Steelwork and housings: load-bearing frames, housings, welded structures, guard panels, covers and process modules
  • Conveying and transport: belt, screw, chain and other systems that move material
  • Feeding and dosing: feeders, hoppers, moving platforms, shafts, rollers and guides
  • Drives: electric motors, servo drives, gearboxes, couplings, bearing units, belt and chain drives
  • Material processing: the assemblies that loosen, mix, shred and carry hay, straw and organic material
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics: cylinders, valves, hoses, fittings and actuators
  • Ventilation and extraction: fans, air ducts, filters and process components
  • Water supply and irrigation: pumps, pipework, nozzles, valves, trays and drainage
  • Modular process systems: interchangeable units, cassettes, containers and quick-service mechanisms

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical assembly of EHOSS industrial equipment to the design and process documentation
  • Assembling steel frames, housings, mechanical sub-assemblies and moving mechanisms
  • Fitting shafts, bearings, rollers, guides, couplings, gearboxes and mechanical transmissions
  • Installing electric motors, servo drives, geared motors and drive mechanisms
  • Assembling conveying, screw, dosing and transport systems
  • Fitting chain, belt and other mechanical drives
  • Installing pneumatic and hydraulic components to the technical documentation
  • Fitting body panels, guards, doors, hatches and service access points
  • Assembling modular structures and the equipment’s process units
  • Working from engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, parts lists and instructions
  • Choosing and using fasteners to the technical requirements
  • Adjusting mechanisms: setting clearances, alignment, and belt and chain tension
  • Checking that parts sit accurately and that moving assemblies run correctly
  • Bench fitting, trimming and other supporting assembly work
  • Checking that assemblies are complete and that the build matches the documentation
  • Mechanical testing and the first start-up of equipment, alongside engineers and automation specialists
  • Finding and clearing mechanical faults during assembly and testing
  • Building prototypes as well as series machines
  • Preparing finished machines for quality inspection, packing and dispatch
  • Following health and safety rules and the discipline of the workshop

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in the mechanical assembly of industrial machines, mechanisms or production equipment — required
  • Reading engineering and assembly drawings on your own
  • A good understanding of how mechanical assemblies and drive systems are built and how they work
  • Experience fitting shafts, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, guides and mechanical transmissions
  • Practical skill in assembling and adjusting moving mechanisms
  • Confident with hand, power, pneumatic and fitter’s tools
  • Measuring instruments: callipers, micrometer, dial indicator, square and the like
  • An understanding of tolerances, fits, clearances and assembly accuracy
  • Experience with bolted, threaded and other mechanical joints
  • Finding mechanical faults on your own, and the reason an assembly does not run as it should
  • Working from technical documentation and keeping to the assembly sequence
  • Technical thinking, care, responsibility and attention to detail
  • Readiness for hands-on production work, and for working as part of a team
  • Higher vocational education and five years of experience, at least three of them in the field
  • Slovak at B1, Ukrainian at C1
  • An advantage: a background in machine-building or metalworking companies; assembling agricultural, conveyor or packaging equipment; servo drives, geared motors and mechanical positioning systems; installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems; building prototypes and small-series equipment; drilling, tapping, grinding and fitting parts; torque tools; industrial sensors and actuators; the basics of electrical engineering and industrial automation; setting up and testing finished machines; lifting equipment and hoists; a category B driving licence
