CNC Press Brake Operator

Program, set up and run the CNC press brakes that bend EHOSS sheet metal — from the drawing to a part that holds its tolerance.

About the Role

EHOSS is looking for a qualified CNC press brake operator to work with current metal-forming technology and take part in building high-tech equipment. It is not an entry-level operator post: we are looking for a specialist who understands the bending process, works from the drawings and has a direct hand in the quality of the finished product. The post is open to people who have fled the war in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Running CNC press brakes — programming, setting up and starting the job
• Forming sheet metal to the technical documentation
• Working with technical files and drawings
• Choosing and setting up the bending tooling: tools, dies and punches
• Checking the quality of finished parts and correcting the bending parameters
• Basic maintenance of the equipment
• Keeping to production standards and safety rules
• Working with the process engineers and the design department

Requirements

• Experience on CNC press brakes — required
• Working with technical documentation and files: drawings, DXF, STEP and the like
• Basic CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar) for viewing and analysing files
• Knowledge of press brake tooling: punches, dies and clamping systems
• Understanding of how metal bends and how the parameters shape the result
• First-cycle university degree and five years of experience, three of them in the field
• Slovak at B1, Ukrainian at C1
• Responsibility, precision and technical thinking
• An advantage: other bending equipment, such as tube bending or making boxes and enclosures; other CNC controls (Delem, Cybelec, Trumpf and the like); a background in manufacturing companies
