About the role
Source and buy what EHOSS machines are built from — metal, drives, automation and parts made to our drawings.
About the Role
EHOSS is looking for a procurement manager to keep the production of our industrial equipment supplied with components, materials and technical parts. EHOSS develops and builds automated equipment for processing hay and straw, preparing bedding, recycling organic waste and growing green fodder, and this role supplies the production of FORAGE.PRO, BEDDING.PRO, REUSING.PRO and FRESHER.PRO — with standard industrial components, and with special parts and assemblies made to EHOSS’s own drawings. We are looking for a specialist with hands-on procurement experience in manufacturing: somebody who understands a technical range of parts, works with international suppliers, analyses commercial offers, negotiates, and makes sure material arrives in time for production never to stand still. The post works closely with engineering, production, the warehouse, logistics and suppliers in many countries.
Responsibilities
- Organising the purchase of materials, components and equipment for production
- Finding and bringing on new suppliers in Slovakia, across the EU and beyond
- Negotiating with manufacturers, distributors and suppliers
- Preparing and sending requests for quotation (RFQ)
- Analysing and comparing prices, technical specifications, lead times and payment terms
- Matching every purchase to its technical specification and to what production needs
- Working with bills of materials (BOM) for materials and components
- Placing orders, and following each one through confirmation to fulfilment
- Tracking manufacturing, shipping and delivery dates for everything on order
- Making sure components arrive in time for the production plan
- Finding alternative suppliers and equivalent components together with engineering
- Optimising purchase prices, logistics costs and terms of supply
- Keeping to the purchasing budget and controlling the cost of materials
- Working with transport and logistics companies
- Organising international shipments and the paperwork they need
- Checking invoices, orders, delivery notes and accompanying documents
- Working with the warehouse on goods in, discrepancies and claims
- Keeping the database of suppliers, items, prices and purchase history
- Working in the ERP system and keeping purchasing data up to date
- Controlling stock levels with the storekeeper, and planning repeat purchases
- A hand in building the purchasing and supply system of EHOSS’s new production complex
What you'll work on
- Rolled metal and steelwork: sheet and stainless steel, aluminium, tubes, profiles, beams, welded structures, laser cutting, bending and machining
- Mechanical components: bearings, shafts, rollers, augers, gearboxes, couplings, chains, belts, guides, fasteners and power transmission

- Water supply and irrigation: pumps, nozzles, pipework, fittings, valves and water dosing parts
- Plastic and rubber parts: containers, trays, seals, gaskets, plastic panels and technical components
- Manufacturing services: laser cutting, turning and milling, CNC machining, welding, powder coating and parts made to drawings
- Consumables and packaging: fasteners, technical materials, pallets, wooden crates, protective packaging and transport materials
