Full-time (part-time - minimum of 30 hours over 4-5 days will be considered)

Our Practice Manager is leaving after 10 years and we are looking for an experienced manager with exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.

We are a dispensing and training practice with 6 GP partners and a team of approximately 50 staff, delivering patient care to 12,500 patients from our main site in Woburn Sands and branch site in Woburn.

We were rated Good in our CQC inspection this year, in which we were described as having a clear shared vision, strategy and culture. We have high patient satisfaction results and receive positive feedback from our patients.

The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and oversight of operational management of the practice, including HR, premises/facilities management, supporting the complaints process and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will manage the practice’s overall performance with support from a Deputy Practice Manager, Reception Manager, Nurse Manager, Digital and Operations Support Officer and Finance Assistant.

They will provide support and guidance to the partners on financial and business management and will have the confidence and vision to facilitate ideas for strategic business development, so skills and experience in this area are essential.

The successful candidate will have a positive manner, be approachable and promote a positive work culture. They will also be organised, proactive, innovative and solutions focussed, and a completer-finisher, able to delegate effectively and prioritise the varied workload of the role.

Strong IT skills are important due to the development of automation in general practice and experience in this area is ideal as the practice strives to be on a leading edge of modern primary care, making full use of the latest technology.

Ideally, we are looking for experience within general practice but welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate that they have the transferable skills and experience in the areas mentioned.

First interviews will be held on Thursday 12th November 2026 on MS Teams (early applications are encouraged).
