This Skilled Labourer role offers consistent work, varied hands-on duties and the opportunity to support essential emergency services training operations.You’ll be working for a well-established fire and rescue service across the West Midlands, helping maintain specialist training facilities and ensuring equipment and resources are ready for use. This is a great opportunity to join a hardworking team where your contribution will support the day-to-day running of important training facilities as a Skilled Labourer.I would love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Skilled Labourer, General Operative, Maintenance Operative, Groundsworker or in a similar hands-on role.As a Skilled Labourer you will be:Cleaning and maintaining fire training buildings, including clearing debris following training exercisesCarrying out general labouring duties, including heavy lifting and moving equipmentPreparing pallets, boards and materials for training exercisesLoading, unloading and safely storing deliveries and equipmentSupporting the setup and clearing of emergency services training exercisesCarrying out basic maintenance and reporting any equipment faultsAssisting with general site upkeep, including gritting and clearing snow when requiredI’d love to speak to anyone who has:Previous experience in labouring, maintenance or a similar practical roleExperience working in physically demanding environmentsA good understanding of health and safety proceduresThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA willingness to work in challenging environments while wearing appropriate PPEForklift experience or relevant licences would be advantageousThis Skilled Labourer role is offering the following benefits:£17 per hour3 months of consistent temporary workVaried duties across specialist training facilitiesOpportunity to gain experience within a fire and rescue service environmentWorking as part of an established and supportive teamThis role is offering £17 per hour for an initial 3-month contract.Location & travelBased across fire service training facilities in the West Midlands, including Oldbury and Coventry.
