SAP German Payroll Specialist (SAP HCM / PY-DE)

Contract: 6 Months
Location: Fully Remote (Occasional travel to Germany during critical phases)
Languages: Fluent German & English (Mandatory)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP German Payroll Specialist to support an SAP Payroll implementation project, focusing on configuration, payroll schemas and compliance with German payroll legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Support SAP German Payroll (PY-DE) implementation and configuration.


Configure and maintain payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types and payroll rules.


Ensure compliance with German payroll legislation, taxation and social security regulations.


Support payroll testing, troubleshooting, integration and go-live activities.


Work closely with HR, Payroll and technical teams to deliver project requirements.


Provide functional support during implementation and hypercare phases.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM German Payroll (PY-DE).


Proven SAP Payroll implementation and configuration experience.


In-depth knowledge of German payroll schemas, PCRs and wage types.


Strong understanding of German payroll legislation and statutory requirements.


Experience with SAP payroll testing and troubleshooting.


Fluent German and English (essential).


Willingness to travel to Germany during critical project phases.
