About the role

Head of Global Logistics & Operations

About the position

At LIONPRO, logistics is not a support function. It is a critical part of how we compete, deliver and grow globally.

As our international business continues to expand, we are looking for a senior logistics leader to take ownership of how LIONPRO moves products across the world — from freight strategy and carrier partnerships to documentation, warehousing and operational performance across our global network.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands international logistics inside out, thinks commercially, builds strong teams and knows how to turn complex supply chains into reliable, scalable and efficient operations.

You will join our leadership team in Riga and work closely with Commercial, Procurement, Finance and our teams across multiple international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously develop LIONPRO’s global logistics and operations strategy, balancing reliability, speed, cost, working capital and customer requirements.
  • Lead and develop the Logistics and Documentation teams, building strong ownership, clear KPIs and a high-performance culture.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with ocean carriers, freight forwarders and other logistics partners, including negotiations, benchmarking and freight sourcing.
  • Keep LIONPRO ahead of freight market developments, capacity constraints, route risks and cost trends, turning market intelligence into business decisions.
  • Optimize end-to-end logistics flows across countries and entities — including transportation, documentation, customs processes and warehousing.
  • Create greater transparency over freight costs, landed cost and operational performance, identifying opportunities for both savings and service improvement.
  • Establish scalable standards and processes across LIONPRO’s international operations while allowing for the realities of different markets.
  • Drive digitalization, automation and smart use of data and AI where they can create measurable improvements in speed, visibility, accuracy or cost.
  • Visit key markets, partners and operational sites, identify bottlenecks and turn findings into practical improvements.
  • Act as a senior logistics advisor to Commercial, Procurement and country teams on routing, Incoterms, logistics risks and supply-chain decisions.

Who we are looking for

You are an experienced international logistics leader who combines strategic thinking with a strong understanding of how operations work in practice.

You are likely to bring:

  • Significant experience in international logistics, ideally 15+ years, including several years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of international sea freight and experience across FCL/LCL, reefer and other complex cargo flows.
  • Established experience working with major carriers and freight forwarders and confidence in high-level commercial negotiations.
  • A strong understanding of international trade documentation, Incoterms and import/export processes.
  • Experience leading teams and improving logistics performance across multiple functions, markets or locations.
  • A commercial mindset — you understand that logistics decisions affect margin, working capital, customer experience and business growth.
  • The ability to bring structure to complexity without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style: you are comfortable moving between strategy, people leadership and solving important operational challenges.
  • Curiosity towards technology, data, automation and new ways of working.
  • Fluent Latvian and professional-level English; additional languages are an advantage.

Experience from a global logistics/freight forwarding company, international trading business, manufacturing or another complex international supply-chain environment would all be highly relevant.

Why LIONPRO?

This is not a role focused on maintaining an established system.

You will have the opportunity to shape how logistics works across a growing international business, strengthen our global partner network, develop the team and build processes that can support the next stage of LIONPRO’s growth.

What we offer:

  • €5,000–8,000 gross monthly salary + performance bonus
  • A senior leadership role with real international scope and influence
  • Direct collaboration with LIONPRO leadership and commercial decision-makers
  • International travel and exposure to multiple markets
  • €1,000 annual individual development budget after probation
  • Health insurance from your first working day
  • Financial support for sports activities or parking
  • Additional vacation days
  • Courses and seminars on industry developments

If you have spent years building logistics expertise, strong market relationships and teams — and are ready to use that experience to shape an international business rather than simply run one part of the supply chain — we would like to meet you.

Even if you are not actively looking for your next role, let’s have a conversation.
