Teacher of Geography

About the role:

justteachers is recruiting a Teacher of Geography for a diverse and inclusive secondary school in Leeds. This full-time role starts in January 2027 and offers the opportunity to bring geographical concepts to life through engaging, relevant teaching.

We would love to hear from an enthusiastic Geography teacher with strong subject knowledge, clear communication skills and a commitment to helping young people succeed. You will bring an organised approach to lesson planning and the ability to make your subject accessible and engaging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that connect learning with real-world examples.
• Assess pupils’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident to contribute.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils’ learning.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification, subject to the school’s requirements.
• Strong Geography subject knowledge and the ability to plan, deliver and assess learning at secondary level.
• Effective classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils’ welfare.
• Availability to start in January 2027 and work full-time
