SEN Teacher

About the role:

Justteachers is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary school in Kettering. This full-time teaching role starts in January 2027 and runs until the end of the academic year in July 2027. You will teach a small class of pupils with autism, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs. The school provides a highly supportive environment, with access to experienced teaching assistants and specialist resources to help pupils thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
• Set and review personalised learning targets and EHCP outcomes
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress
• Create a structured, inclusive and positive classroom environment

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant recognised teaching qualification
• Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN
• Knowledge of differentiated teaching and individual learning plans
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two references within the last two years from a related field
