1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role:

justteachers is supporting a primary school in Bourne looking to appoint a compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant from January 2027 until the Easter holidays. This full-time role involves supporting a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
• Assist with personalised learning activities
• Promote independence and social development
• Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals
• Record and monitor pupil progress

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Calm and patient approach
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of EHCPs beneficial
• Must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service
