SEMH Teaching Assistant

About the role:
justteachers are supporting a primary school in Bedworth to recruit a Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH support. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a nurturing approach to behaviour and wellbeing, with a dedicated pastoral team supporting pupils who experience barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be confident building relationships and providing consistent support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Implement individual behaviour and regulation strategies
• Build positive relationships and encourage appropriate boundaries
• Help pupils re-engage with classroom learning and school routines
Pre-requisites:

Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
