Secondary HLTA

About the role:

Justteachers are working with a Bradford based secondary school to appoint a HLTA to start as soon as possible on a long-term basis.

The school is inclusive with a supportive and welcoming team who encourage success in all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students within the Inclusion provision, facilitating movement breaks and assisting with lift duties where required.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Provide support to students and staff in our alternative pathways.
• Respond flexibly to changes in daily tasks and timetables, including covering for staff absences.
• Use de-escalation and regulation strategies to maintain calm and positive learning environments.

Pre-requisites:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• A “can-do” attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to follow guidance from management while working independently when required.
• Experience supporting students using the Zones of Regulation and trauma-informed approaches.
• A genuine passion for inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their potential.
