English Teacher – Secondary School

Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Day-to-Day Cover, Short-Term or Long-Term Placements

Pay: £130–£240 per day DOE (PAYE – no umbrella deductions)

Job Description:

Justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic English Teacher to support a secondary school in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can inspire pupils to develop their reading, writing, comprehension and analytical skills across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The ideal candidate will deliver engaging lessons, build positive relationships with pupils and help learners develop confidence in English Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Develop pupils’ reading, writing and analytical skills
• Prepare learning resources and assess pupil progress
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs

Pre-requisites:

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
• Confident classroom and behaviour management
• A positive and adaptable teaching approach
