Drama Teacher – Secondary School

Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time – Day-to-Day Cover, Short-Term or Long-Term Placements

Pay: £130–£240 per day DOE (PAYE – no umbrella deductions)

Job Description:

Justteachers is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to work within a secondary school in Loughborough. The role is suited to a teacher who can encourage pupils to express themselves, develop performance skills and build confidence through practical and theoretical drama lessons.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils with improvisation, script work, performance techniques and theatre studies where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons
• Develop pupils’ acting, performance and communication skills
• Organise practical activities and group performances
• Encourage creativity, confidence and teamwork
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and well-managed learning environment

Pre-requisites:

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in Drama and performance
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Ability to motivate and engage learners
• Confident classroom management skills
