Cover Supervisor

About the role:

Justteachers Supply Agency are looking to recruit a proactive and dependable Cover Supervisor to work at one of our partner secondary schools in Coventry. This is a full-time, long-term position commencing in September 2026, with the role expected to run until the end of the academic year.

The school provides a welcoming and well-structured learning environment, where students are supported to reach their full potential. Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams, you will be responsible for supervising classes, managing behaviour effectively and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with the work set in the teacher’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons left by the classroom teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Take the register and ensure all students are accounted for
• Provide assistance to students where needed to help them stay on task
• Report any issues or feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day

Pre-requisites:

• Experience (minimum of 3 months) in an educational setting
• Proven experience covering ages from 11-16
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Two references we are able to apply for, at least one desirably from an educational setting
