The Opportunity

This is more than just another Supervisor role. It’s an opportunity to be part of something new.

Gas Street Vaults is being transformed into a flagship Joule’s Brewery Taphouse, combining great beer, quality pub food, live music and warm hospitality in one of Birmingham’s most iconic waterside locations.

Joining ahead of the launch, you’ll help support and develop a brand-new team, deliver great customer experiences and establish the high standards we’re proud of across our pubs.

You’ll be hands-on, leading shifts, supporting the management team and helping create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

The Vision

A major new canalside pub destination coming to Birmingham at the start of 2027.

Gas Street Vaults is being transformed from a former bistro restaurant into a characterful Joule’s Brewery Taphouse inspired by Birmingham’s industrial heritage, canal history and pub culture.

Made up of unique spaces, each with its own atmosphere and experience, Gas Street Vaults will become a destination for locals, visitors and businesses alike.

What You’ll Get Up To

• Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of Gas Street Vaults

• Helping train, motivate and support a brand new team

• Delivering high standards across food, drink and service

• Creating a welcoming atmosphere and memorable customer experiences

• Ensuring the pub is well presented and running smoothly

• Supporting events, promotions and busy service periods

• Assisting with stock control and general operations

• Being a proud ambassador for Joule’s Brewery

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a busy pub, bar or restaurant

• Previous Supervisor experience or the confidence and ambition to step into a leadership role

• A positive hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in

• A genuine passion for great food, drink and customer service

• Confidence supporting and motivating a team during busy shifts

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• An interest in beer, with knowledge of cask ale desirable but not essential

• £13.50 – £14.50 per hour, depending on experience
