About the role
Senior Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects from initial concept through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised professional who can provide strategic direction, build strong relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
You will take ownership of project planning, governance, risk management and performance reporting, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, partners and senior stakeholders. The role will involve managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a clear focus on quality, customer outcomes and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, including scoping, planning, delivery, implementation and close-out.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, resource requirements and delivery milestones.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change controls, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide clear direction, support and performance oversight.
- Build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Prepare accurate progress reports, performance updates and recommendations for decision-makers.
- Monitor project expenditure and ensure delivery remains aligned with agreed objectives and governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and project delivery practices.
About you
You will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, ideally within a structured or regulated environment. A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent, would be advantageous. You should be confident interpreting financial and performance information, managing competing priorities and making sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential, together with a collaborative approach and strong attention to detail. You will be comfortable challenging constructively, influencing stakeholders at all levels and adapting your approach as project requirements evolve.
In return, you will have the opportunity to make a visible impact through the delivery of important projects, while developing your expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
