About the role

Project Scheduler

We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Scheduler to support the successful planning and delivery of projects across a busy and collaborative environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate project schedules, coordinating activities across multiple teams and ensuring that key milestones, dependencies and deadlines remain visible and achievable.

You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, suppliers and other stakeholders to gather updates, identify potential delays and support effective resource planning. The successful candidate will be confident working with detailed information, communicating clearly and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules in line with approved plans and delivery requirements.
  • Track progress against milestones, critical paths, dependencies and baseline dates.
  • Coordinate schedule updates with project leads, workstream owners, contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify slippage, resource constraints, risks and emerging issues, escalating these where appropriate.
  • Prepare schedule reports, progress summaries and performance information for project meetings and management reviews.
  • Support short-term planning, look-ahead activities and the coordination of upcoming work.
  • Maintain accurate records, version control and schedule documentation in accordance with agreed processes.
  • Contribute to planning improvements, lessons learned and the development of consistent scheduling practices.

About you

You will have previous experience in project scheduling, planning or project controls, ideally within a complex operational, engineering, construction, technology or infrastructure environment. Experience using scheduling or project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar tools, would be advantageous.

You should have strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret information, resolve inconsistencies and present progress clearly to a range of audiences. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a practical, collaborative approach are essential. You will also be comfortable working independently, challenging assumptions constructively and adapting to changing priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team where your planning expertise will directly support reliable project delivery and continuous improvement.
