About the role

Project Engineer

This role would suit a technically capable and organised professional who can coordinate multiple workstreams, communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering projects, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks and deliverables.
  • Prepare technical documentation, project plans, progress reports and budget updates.
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, procurement, installation and commissioning teams.
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support testing, commissioning and handover activities, ensuring that all documentation is complete.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety, quality and environmental performance.

About you

You will have experience in a project engineering or engineering delivery role, ideally within a manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, energy or technically complex environment. A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline is desirable, together with a sound understanding of engineering principles and project management processes.

You should be confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications, managing competing priorities and working collaboratively across different teams. Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

What is offered

This role provides the opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projects, with scope for professional development and progression. You will join a supportive working environment where your contribution will have a visible impact on project performance and customer outcomes. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, alongside appropriate training and development opportunities.
