Accountant

*** Only candidates based in the UAE will be considered   We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a hands-on and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience in the UAE, preferably within an interior design, fit-out, or contracting company, with strong proficiency in QuickBooks and experience managing day-to-day accounting operations and vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment processing. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in QuickBooks. Handle vendor and supplier accounts, including invoice verification, reconciliations, payment follow-ups, and statements of account. Monitor project-related expenses, supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payment schedules. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain organised financial documentation. Assist with monthly closing, financial reporting, and expense tracking. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and applicable accounting requirements. Requirements Proven accounting experience within the UAE. Previous experience in an interior design, fit-out, construction, or contracting company is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks is essential. Strong knowledge of day-to-day accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Experience managing vendor and supplier relationships. Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.   REF: FL V-223323
