Accountant

Accountant London Permanent £45-60k depending on experience This is an exciting opportunity to join a strategic advisory firm with a global reach. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will take full ownership of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. This role will suit someone with hands-on accounts experience who can work independently. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Process supplier invoices and manage the accounts payable ledger, including payment runs and supplier queries Raise client invoices and manage accounts receivable, including credit control and following up outstanding payments Run monthly payroll for UK staff, including PAYE, pension contributions and statutory payments Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements Support month end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records in Xero Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings Respond to queries from staff, suppliers and clients on invoices and payments Support the wider finance team on ad-hoc projects and process improvements WHAT YOU WILL HAVE: Minimum of 4 years experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll Experience with Xero preferred Strong attention to detail and comfortable managing multiple deadlines Clear communicator, confident raising queries with suppliers, clients and colleagues AAT qualification, or working towards a relevant accounting qualification, is an advantage but not essential WHAT YOU WILL GET: Competitive salary Discretionary bonus Hybrid working (4 days on-site and 1 day working from home per week) BB217796
