About the role

Are you looking for a varied HR role where you can take ownership, further develop your expertise and learn something new every day? Do you enjoy combining practical HR administration with employee interaction, recruitment and process improvement? As an HR Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for day-to-day HR matters in the Netherlands. You will ensure that our HR processes run smoothly and comply with applicable legislation and company policies. At the same time, you will be part of a close-knit international team. You will have the opportunity to learn about HR practices and employment legislation in other countries. You will also provide backup support to your colleagues, depending on workload, priorities and absences.
We are looking for someone who is curious, open to learning and enjoys sharing knowledge with others.
Responsibilities

HR Administration and Payroll: Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, collect monthly payroll data, prepare monthly payroll input and liaise with external payroll providers. Support benefits administration, carry out initial checks of payslips and follow up on any discrepancies.
Recruitment: Coordinate recruitment activities, including publishing job vacancies, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
Employee Support and Compliance: Provide day-to-day HR support and escalate more complex matters when necessary. Maintain employee data in HR systems, approve and monitor leave requests and expense claims through our HR system, Factorial, and help ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and local employment legislation.
Health and Safety: Support occupational health and safety administration, sickness absence follow-up and reintegration processes.
Internal Initiatives: Help organise employee events, team-building activities, gifts, newsletters and other initiatives that contribute to employee engagement and job satisfaction.
International HR Collaboration: Gradually develop your knowledge of HR policies and employment legislation in other countries. Provide backup support to your international colleagues, depending on workload, priorities and absences.
What We Are Looking For

You have experience in a similar role or hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (HRM) or a related field.
You are fluent in Dutch, both written and spoken, and have a good command of English (minimum B2 level).
You are accurate, well-organised and reliable, and you know how to handle confidential information with care.
You are proactive, independent and have a strong sense of responsibility.
You communicate easily, feel comfortable in a multicultural environment and are enthusiastic and energetic.
You have a genuine interest in learning about HR policies and employment legislation in different countries.
You are flexible, enjoy working in a small team and are happy to support colleagues when needed.
Knowledge of an HR information system (HRIS) or payroll software is a plus, such as SD Worx or Nmbrs.
