About the Role

To support the inspection, repair, overhaul and testing of aircraft electrical and mechanical components within the Generator Shop. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors, the role provides an opportunity to develop technical skills, product knowledge and aviation maintenance experience whilst ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair and assembly of aircraft generators and associated components.
• Learn to interpret maintenance manuals, component maintenance manuals (CMMs), technical drawings and work instructions.
• Support technicians in carrying out repairs and overhauls in accordance with approved data and company procedures.
• Record inspection findings accurately and maintain workshop documentation.
• Assist in preparing components for testing and subsequent release processes.
• Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Work towards developing competence across all approved generator shop products and capabilities.
• Participate in internal and external training programmes as required.
• Report any quality, safety or technical concerns to the Supervisor.

Candidate Requirements

• Basic electrical and/or mechanical experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment safely.
• Good level of numeracy and literacy.
• Willingness to learn technical processes and procedures.
• Ability to follow written instructions and technical documentation.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
