Data Engineer

Build the ingestion and data layer in Snowflake behind a greenfield attribution platform — extracting from partner APIs, transforming through dbt and shipping reliable pipelines from day one. We're looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join a fast-paced, greenfield data and agentic AI transformation for a major sports-betting affiliate business. You'll work within a small engineering team building the ingestion and data layer in Snowflake that sits behind a new attribution platform — solving a problem existing tracking tools can't: connecting a user's initial click through to bookmaker activity and eventual payout. Your focus will be reliable data pipelines: extracting data from partner APIs, transforming it through dbt, creating consistent data models in Snowflake and automating processes currently managed manually through spreadsheets. This is a practical delivery role where you'll be coding and shipping from day one, working closely with the engineering team and client stakeholders during an intensive initial 10-week build. Location: hybrid from our Woodstock office in Cape Town — light-filled, mountain views, good coffee — with 3–4 days a week together in the office.
