Financial Analyst, Vineyard Holdings & Wine Distribution
- Singapore
- Full-Time, Permanent
ABOUT THE POSITION
The position is within the Heritage & Selective Distribution team. Heritage mainly invests in vineyards partnering with renowned wine estates; while Selective Distribution distributes their wines in Asia through dedicated joint ventures. The team is small and close-knit, with members based in Singapore and France.
As Heritage & Selective Distribution Analyst, you will run the day-to-day operations of our distribution joint ventures and follow our Asia-based investment entities. You will see how a fine wine investment and distribution business works from the inside: intercompany flows, stock, allocations and pricing, logistics, board governance and investment portfolio management.
The position (i) reports to the Head of Operations, Heritage & Selective Distribution, (ii) takes day-to-day direction from various team members, and (iii) works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations and Legal. The role involves occasional travel within Asia and to France. Depending on how the role and the candidate develop, the position may also bring exposure to top management.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Selective Distribution:
Operations of our distribution joint ventures
- Maintain intercompany purchase and sales orders and update them as sales go through.
- Track stock and allocations for each joint venture and reconcile them with sales and logistics.
- Act as the first point of contact for Sales, Operations and Finance on distribution flows, and solve issues before they reach external parties.
Board preparation and follow-up
- Prepare the board packs of the distribution joint ventures with the team lead, including budget vs actual and a first draft of the variance commentary.
- Coordinate notices, agendas and draft minutes.
- Track board decisions and actions through to closure.
Heritage:
Portfolio management of our existing vineyard investments
- Follow the Asia-based Heritage entities: open legal, financial and operational matters, deadlines and next actions.
- Run the payment and invoicing workflows with service providers and investors.
- Support the investor relationship management and the preparation of Heritage board meetings when needed.
- Work with the Paris-based Heritage team.
Support to a new investment platform
- Support its portfolio management as it is set up: monitoring, reporting and data requests.
Cross-functional:
Systems and process improvement
- Take part in ERP improvements, procedure updates and the AI tools the team builds: testing, documentation and user training.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in consulting, audit, FP&A, or operations or finance in a multi-entity business.
- Advanced Excel and at ease with AI tools (Claude, Copilot or similar), which you use day to day for drafting, data checks and automating repetitive tasks.
- Experience with an ERP, ideally Business Central, and with Power BI is a plus.
- Detail oriented and rigorous with numbers: you notice when figures do not reconcile and follow through until they do.
- Proactive and solution-minded: when something is stuck, you come with a proposed fix, not only the problem.
- Organised and autonomous: you run several recurring cycles at once (monthly operations, board calendars, payment runs) and prioritise between requests from several people across time zones.
- To engage with our vendors and teams, fluency in English is essential.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and with colleagues across Singapore, Hong Kong and France.
- Flexibility with working hours occasionally when dealing with time zones and time-sensitive situations
- Interest in fine wine is a plus, not a prerequisite.
