Join an established international manufacturing business at the beginning of a significant AI transformation. The company has identified approximately 120 potential AI use cases and is investing in modern data platforms, engineering capabilities and AI technologies to integrate AI into its business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines, data models and lakehouse architectures to support analytics, machine learning and AI applications.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from SAP, Microsoft platforms, APIs and other enterprise and production systems.
• Develop and implement AI solutions alongside the AI Architect, contributing to technology selection, system integration and production deployment.
• Establish reliable engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, data quality and governance.

Requirements

• Essential: Several years\' experience in Data Engineering, data architecture or related software engineering disciplines, with strong SQL and Python skills.
• Essential: Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines, data models and modern data warehouse, data lake or lakehouse architectures.
• Essential: Practical experience with data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SAP Datasphere or comparable technologies; ability to support data and AI integration.
• Essential: Excellent German and English communication skills, with a sound understanding of production-quality software engineering. SAP integration, Git/CI/CD and industrial data experience are advantageous.
