About the role
DMC Nordic Denmark (Jutland)
Want to be at the heart of Western Denmark’s cruise industry?
DMC Nordic is one of the leading destination management companies in the Nordics, delivering shore excursions, turnaround services, and tailor-made experiences for some of the world’s largest cruise lines.
As cruise traffic continues to grow in Western Denmark, we are looking for a hands-on and experienced Cruise Operations Coordinator based in Jutland. This role will serve as an important local extension of our Cruise Operations team and play a key part in ensuring the successful delivery of cruise services at some of Denmark’s busiest cruise destinations.
What you’ll do
As our local Cruise Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that operational plans become operational success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing cruise calls from planning through execution
- Coordinating shore excursions, transportation, guides, attractions, and local suppliers
- Serving as DMC Nordic’s operational representative during cruise calls
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with cruise lines, port authorities, suppliers, and local stakeholders
- Conducting site inspections and quality checks
- Resolving operational challenges quickly and professionally when they arise
- Monitoring service delivery and ensuring our high standards are maintained
- Assisting with budgeting, pricing, supplier management, and invoicing
- Contributing ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and guest experience
Who you are
You enjoy being where things happen rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
We imagine that you:
- Have experience within tourism, cruise operations, logistics, transportation, events, hospitality, or destination management
- Are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously
- Remain calm under pressure and enjoy solving problems in real time
- Have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
- Are flexible regarding working hours during cruise season
- Speak and write professional English and Danish
- Live in Jutland
- Understand the importance of timely correspondence with stakeholders such as suppliers, guides, ports and clients.
- You understand that cruise operations are seasonal and are willing to be flexible during the peak period from May through September, when the majority of our ship calls take place.
Experience from the cruise industry is an advantage, but operational excellence and a service-minded attitude are even more. We value attitude over experience.
What we offer
- A unique opportunity to help shape and grow our operations in Northern Denmark
- Significant responsibility and autonomy
- Direct collaboration with some of the world’s leading cruise brands
- A dynamic international working environment
- Professional development opportunities
- A strong and supportive Nordic operations team
- The chance to work where ships, guests, and operations meet in real life
- This position is based remotely in Jutland and supported by our Copenhagen team. As our operations in the region continue to grow, you will play a key role in strengthening our local presence and helping shape the future of our business in Northern Denmark. We are flexible when it comes to finding the right working setup, whether from home office, a co-working space, or a combination of both, while remaining closely connected to your colleagues in Copenhagen
Why join DMC Nordic?
Every cruise call is like a live event. Hundreds or thousands of guests, multiple stakeholders, and countless moving parts, all requiring flawless coordination from start to finish – and only one chance to get it right.
If you thrive on responsibility, enjoy operational problem-solving, and want to be part of the team delivering exceptional cruise experiences throughout the Nordics, we’d love to hear from you.
We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Remotely you’ll join a close-knit team that values collaboration, trust, and a good sense of humour, especially during the busiest days of the season.
Application
We expect to begin interviewing candidates in early November 2026 and encourage interested applicants to apply as soon as possible.
