Job description
Caregiving for 2 individuals in a household, ZIP code 51429 (rural area, city name not provided). Person 1 – 91-year-old woman (165 cm, 68 kg) – is slightly mobility-impaired, at risk of falls, and suffers from mild dementia; she once fell at night, so she needs to be accompanied to the toilet 1× at night. She requires partial assistance with dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene, including showering, as well as with removing compression stockings. The caregiver administers her medication directly, should provide companionship, be nearby, and engage in conversations. Person 2 – 90-year-old man (179 cm, 85 kg) – is mobile in the house with a walker (there is also a stair lift in the house), he suffered a stroke with no significant impact on motor skills and speech, and is currently still hospitalized for it, also suffers from back pain. He previously cared for his wife (Person 1) himself, but now needs relief. His care involves housekeeping and cooking; the family handles household shopping. Lifting is not required for either person, and night work is only required for Person 1. The caregiver has access to a guest room with a separate bathroom, a sink directly in the room, and internet. A woman with good German language skills is sought, no driver's license required; smoking is tolerated but only outside the apartment. Start date 14.09.2026 (latest by 27.09.2026).

Frequently asked questions - Carers
Do you charge fees?
You don't pay our employment agency anything at all. We believe it is not right to charge people money in order to enable them to work, and so we offer assistance in finding job positions completely free of charge.
Do I have to be self-employed?Most job positions in Germany are based on Slovak/Czech trade licenses, though employment contracts are possible with some families. In Switzerland, work is conducted under Swiss employment contracts.
Do I need a caregiving course to work as a caregiver?A caregiving course is not required for families in Germany, but you need at least some experience of caring at home. In Switzerland, most families require a caregiving course.
How long will it take you to find me a family?Finding a family is an individual matter for every candidate, so there is no exact time frame for when we will find you a family that suits you both. In some cases we can arrange a job within a few hours, at other times the wait is a few days. For families in Switzerland, the wait can stretch to a month because of high demand. We place candidates fastest in the summer months, June – August, and more slowly from the end of January to the end of March.
Can you help me travel? Who pays for the trip?If you wish, we will organise your transport. We have worked for many years with transport companies that our caregivers are happy to use again and again. You can of course choose another way of travelling that you prefer. The caregiver pays for the journey herself and the family contributes to it – €180 – 300 in Germany, CHF 380 – 400 in Switzerland, depending on the offer. If you do not have the cash to travel to Germany, we can pay the fare for you and deduct it from your pay afterwards.
How long are rotations usually?
In Germany a standard assignment lasts 4 – 6 weeks, in Switzerland 2 – 3 months. Replacement assignments are shorter.
What is the salary and what does it depend on?In Germany the pay is up to €3 500 a month as a self-employed caregiver – the exact amount is stated in each offer. It depends on your German, the client’s state of health and whether you care for one person or a married couple. In Switzerland the pay is up to CHF 3 500 net a month on a Swiss employment contract.
What level of German do I need to have for a carer job?In Germany, families most often require intermediate to good German; some are happy with basic German and/or want another language, such as Czech, Russian or Bulgarian. Families in Switzerland require good German, although a solid intermediate level is sometimes enough.
Do you also offer work for male carers?Yes, we successfully place male caregivers with families too.
