Transport Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

You'll work closely with our Transport Planners, Drivers, Sales Team and Customers, coordinating deliveries from order through to completion.

This is a busy, hands-on office role involving route planning, scheduling, customer enquiries, quoting and invoicing. You'll need to be organised, commercially aware and comfortable dealing with changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinating daily concrete and aggregate deliveries
Route planning and vehicle scheduling
Liaising with drivers, planners and customers
Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
Processing orders and updating internal systems
Preparing and following up quotes
Managing changes, delays and customer queries
Processing invoices and checking delivery paperwork
Building strong relationships with customers
Supporting the wider Transport and Sales Teams

What We're Looking For

Experience in transport, logistics, administration, sales support or customer service
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
Good attention to detail
Confident using Microsoft Office and internal systems
Proactive, reliable and able to work independently
Experience with transport planning, construction, aggregates or haulage is desirable but not essential
