ABOUT THE TEAM

You will join our Finance & Controlling team, which plays a critical role in managing STARK's financial health, compliance, and growth strategy. Operating in a fast-paced and highly regulated defence tech environment, our team ensures robust group-wide financial accounting and reporting. We work closely with leadership to support strategic decisions and drive financial excellence across all operational entities.

YOUR MISSION

As Group Accounting Manager, you will lead and oversee group-wide financial accounting, consolidated financial statements, and reporting across all STARK entities. You will ensure full compliance with HGB and IFRS, drive continuous optimization of accounting processes, and serve as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AT STARK

• Lead the preparation and presentation of group consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for all group entities.
• Establish, standardize, and optimize group accounting guidelines, policies, and internal controls.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, transfer pricing alignment, and group reconciliation processes.
• Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Drive the implementation and enhancement of automated accounting systems and ERP tools.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE MISSION

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or Wirtschaftsprüfer/Bilanzbuchhalter) is a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in group accounting, financial reporting, or audit firm background (Big 4 preferred).
• Strong expertise in HGB and IFRS accounting standards and group consolidation software.
• Proven track record in managing complex closings and working with modern ERP solutions.
• Fluency in English and German is required.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in fast-growing tech companies or the defence/security sector.
• Familiarity with tax structures and international group entity management.
• Hands-on mentality with an interest in automating manual financial processes.
