Editor / Data I/O

for Wojan Studio in Warszawa

Employment Art and animation

Wojan Studio is looking for a skilled and proactive Editor / Data I/O to join our team for our upcoming 3D animated feature film.

You’ll work closely with Producers, CG Supervisor, and Department Leads and support the day-to-day editorial workflow across multiple stages of production from stilomatics to previs and animation.

This is a role for someone who understands the editorial needs of animation projects, enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, and can keep complex projects organized, up to date, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Editing stilomatics, helping shape pacing, timing, continuity and narrative flow.
  • Assembling and refining previs sequences, editing animation playblasts, managing shot versions, and maintaining sequences throughout production.
  • Daily editorial support, updating edits as new material comes in, managing revisions, and keeping sequences aligned with the latest creative decisions.
  • Data I/O and media management, organising, transcoding and delivering media, maintaining consistent naming conventions, managing version control, and ensuring smooth media exchange between departments.
  • Managing files, ingesting and organizing data, baking Alembic caches if needed, and other technical tasks related to production 3D data management.
  • Working closely with the director, storyboard artists, previs artists, animators, production team and other departments to ensure everyone is working with the correct and most up-to-date material.
  • Syncing and editing placeholder audio: dialogue, music and sound effects to picture, ensuring a solid audio reference throughout the editorial process.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Previous experience in animation, VFX, film or other complex audiovisual productions.
  • A solid understanding of editorial workflows processes.
  • Experience handling large volumes of media, multiple versions, high shot counts and frequent editorial updates.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Experience with Shotgun (ShotGrid / Flow Production Tracking) is a must.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Warsaw studio.

Bonus Points

  • Python scripting for workflow automation.
  • Quality control of final compositing versions.
  • A passion for art, animation and cinema.

What We Offer

  • A chance to be part of the production team on a feature-length animated film from the inside.
  • A collaborative, international team.
  • On-site position in our Warsaw studio.
