Interim Finance Business Partner

Our client is a charity and research organisation seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a 6 month fixed-term contract.
Based in London with three days a week in the office, this role offers up to £50,000 and is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on a mission-driven organisation.
You’ll work closely with non-finance stakeholders across the organisation, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that help them make better decisions.
Responsibilities

Project costing and financial analysis that directly supports the charity’s research and delivery teams
Bridge the gap between finance and operations, making financial data accessible and meaningful to non-specialists
Supporting annual budget-setting, multi-year forecasting, and financial modeling for research projects and departmental units
Delivering accurate, timely monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI tracking

Preferred Requirements

Experience in project costing, budgeting, or financial analysis
Proven ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance audiences
Organised, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or equivalent finance qualification
Previous experience in a business partner or similar advisory finance role
Knowledge of charity accounting standards or experience in the research sector
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and data
