This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines deep technical expertise with commercial awareness and exceptional communication skills. You'll work alongside Sales, Professional Services and Service Desk teams to design innovative IT solutions that help our customers achieve their business goals while delivering an effortless customer experience.
If you're passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex business challenges and want to be recognised as a trusted advisor, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As an IT Solutions Architect, you'll bridge the gap between customer requirements and technical delivery.
You'll engage with customers throughout their technology journey… from initial discovery and solution design through to project implementation and future strategic planning.
Success in this role isn't measured solely by technical excellence. It's about creating confidence, simplifying complexity and ensuring every customer interaction is professional, proactive and effortless.
Working closely with our Commercial, Professional Services and Technical teams, you'll help shape innovative solutions that deliver real business value while supporting HBP's commitment to exceptional customer service.

- Produce solution designs, architecture documentation and technical proposals
- Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery
- Ensure operational readiness for support takeons
- Ensure seamless handovers between Sales, Projects and Support
- Build trusted advisor relationships with customers at every level
- Recommend improvements to existing customer environments and future technology roadmaps
- Identify opportunities to improve services, simplify processes and enhance the customer experience
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and help shape future service offerings
What We're Looking For
You'll have experience designing and delivering modern Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions within an MSP or enterprise environment.
You'll also bring:

- Strong documentation and solution design skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK

- Advanced networking including VLANs and managed switching
- Firewalls
- Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Physical servers and Virtualisation
- Microsoft Azure
Certifications
Desirable certifications include:
- Microsoft SC-900
- Microsoft MS-900
Additional Microsoft, networking or security certifications would be advantageous.
Who You'll Be
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves solving problems
- Enjoys working with people as much as technology
- Can simplify complex technical conversations
- Builds trust naturally
- Takes ownership and accountability
- Thinks strategically while remaining hands-on
- Is curious, adaptable and always learning
- Thrives in a collaborative environment
- Wants to make a genuine difference for customers
Most importantly, you'll share our passion for creating effortless customer experiences.
Why This Role is Different
This isn't a traditional Solutions Architect position.
You'll have the opportunity to influence customer strategy, shape our technical direction and play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer journey from first conversation through to long-term partnership.
If you enjoy combining technical expertise with relationship building and want to make technology feel effortless for customers, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Ready to Apply?
If you're passionate about technology, thrive on solving business challenges and want to join a company where customer experience is just as important as technical excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
