We are a Legal 500 and Chambers UK recommended firm who are currently recruiting a Solicitor to join our Crime Team in our Margate office.This is a full-time or part-time position with the successful candidate being part of a dynamic and growing team.Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented and driven Solicitor with 1-3 years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in crime to join our dynamic team in Margate. The successful candidate will play a key role in our criminal law department, handling a duverse caseload of a criminal matters and providing high-quality legal representation to our clients.ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of criminal law matters, including but not limited to, theft, assault, drug offenses, and other criminal offensesConduct legal research, analyse case law, and prepare legal arguments to support clients' casesProvide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the criminal justice processRepresent clients in Magistrates' Court proceedingsPrepare and present cases effectively in court, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients.Liaise with clients, barristers, and other professionals involved in cases to ensure effective communication and collaborationMaintain accurate and up-to-date case files and legal documentationRequirementsQualified Solicitor with 1-3 years PQE in criminal lawSolid understanding of criminal law procedures and regulationsDemonstrated experience managing a caseload of criminal matters independentlyStrong advocacy and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlinesCommitment to providing outstanding client serviceThis salary is up to £46k per year depending on experience.please send your CV and covering letter to recruitment@gtstewart.co.uk(Unfortunately due to the volume of applications we are unable to respond to all candidates or provide feedback on your application, if you have not heard from us within 10 working days of the application deadline then you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.)
