Commercial Trainee - Northallerton

Due to expansion, we have a vacancy for a Commercial Trainee. The role is designed to give the candidate a full and varied role within the branch learning all aspects of electrical wholesaling from stores, trade counter through to processing incoming and outgoing deliveries, products and applications with the end goal of an eventual progression to Management status. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude and be able to work alone or as part of a small team. This position is ideally suited to a young person of school leaver age.

Who we are:

Established in 1934 and operating from 60 locations throughout the country, servicing a wide spectrum of customer types, we have over 88 years’ experience in the electrical wholesale sector.

The Role:

• Processing customer enquiries, quotations & sales orders
• Standard office hours of Monday to Friday starting at 08:00am and finishing at 17:00pm
• Workings closely with a large customer base, ensuring orders are completed accurately
• Picking orders from the Warehouse
• Booking in deliveries, putting goods away, keeping the whole branch tidy
• Assist on the trade counter
• Drive sales to reach branch sales targets
• Assist with managing stock levels and ordering stock from suppliers

• Strong customer service skills

• Confident telephone manner
