Christmas Shop Opening

Christmas shopping has arrived at Emmaus Village Carlton, with the return of our popular Christmas Shop in the chapel.

The Christmas Shop is open Wednesday – Sunday from 10am–3pm.

There is plenty to discover, from preloved Christmas decorations and festive homeware to gifts and those unexpected finds that make secondhand shopping so enjoyable. The collection is restocked every day as new donations arrive, so no two visits are quite the same.

We are currently recruiting for Trustees and a Treasurer to join our team at Emmaus Village Carlton.

These are key roles in supporting the continued growth and development of our community, helping to shape our future direction and ensure we remain financially sustainable as we build on the impact of our work.

We’re looking for candidate’s who can bring their experience, insight and enthusiasm to our Board and help us make a lasting difference to the people we support. Ideally candidates for the trustee role will come from a background in areas such as – housing, homelessness, retail & business development, people & culture roles. Candidates for the treasurer role should have a financial management background.

Trustee

A key governance role, helping Emmaus Village Carlton stay focused on its charitable purpose, values and strategic aims. Trustees provide oversight across areas including finance, risk, compliance, safeguarding and organisational performance.

Treasurer

A trustee with a particular focus on Emmaus Village Carlton’s financial oversight and sustainability. The Treasurer helps ensure strong financial management, effective use of funds, appropriate reserves and compliance with financial and legal responsibilities.
