MIG Welder Fabricator

Key Responsibilities

· Fabricate structural steel components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.

· Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings accurately.

· Measure, cut, prepare and assemble steel components.

· Carry out MIG welding to the required standard.

· Check completed work for accuracy, dimensions and quality.

· Identify and report any defects or issues.

· Maintain tools, equipment and the work area in a safe and orderly condition.

· Complete work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.

· Follow company quality, health & safety and environmental procedures.

· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

· Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.

· Recognised welding qualification – essential.

· Proven ability to read and work from technical drawings.

· Strong practical fabrication and welding skills.

· Good spoken and written English – essential.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Reliable, organised and safety-conscious approach to work.
