Governments, central banks, and security printers worldwide rely on its inks and solutions to protect currencies, identity documents, and other high-value printed materials against counterfeiting. Privately owned and headquartered in Europe, the group combines deep chemistry expertise with long term customer partnerships and a strong culture of innovation.
This role sits at the heart of one of those partnerships. Based full time at a key customer's site in Hampshire, you will act as our client's dedicated Technical Adviser, reporting to the Head of R&D Services within the Technical Assistance Group. Key Responsibilities
• Support and guide the customer in the design of security ink formulations
• Advise from an ink and solutions perspective on customer projects, linking ink formulations to new design software, digital proofs, printing proofs and factory formulations
• Answer customer queries on site, escalating to the global headquarters where required
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues while strengthening the customer's technical knowledge
• Ensure optimal use of products and help optimise current products and solutions, working with headquarters when necessary
• Own technical visit reports and monthly activity reports, including follow up and communication
• Manage product complaints (non conformities) efficiently, promptly and with full documentation
Must-Haves
• Engineering degree in Chemistry, or an equivalent background in the printing industry
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, working independently within a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to build credibility with internal and external stakeholders, with strong ethics and customer focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English
• Full driving licence
• Flexibility to travel to other customer sites when needed
Nice-to-Haves
• 3 to 5 years' experience in the chemical or printing industry
• French language skills
• Experience in security printing, banknote or high security document production
• Familiarity with colour management or digital proofing software
• Exposure to quality systems or structured complaint handling (e.g. 8D)
What's in it for you?
• Competitive salary
• Full-time, customer-facing role with a global leader in security technology
• Backing of an international R&D and technical support team
• Work on products that protect currencies and critical documents worldwide
• Regular contact with the global headquarters and wider international business
