Senior Client Partner (Public Sector)
- Location: London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee
- Term: Permanent Position
- Annual salary: Competitive
Job description
Waracle are looking for a Senior Client Partner to join our Public Sector New Business Team for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.
We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.
This is a Hybrid role working from any of our UK offices (Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London) 2 days a week
Are you a collaborative leader who excels at building meaningful relationships and shaping transformative digital solutions in the Public Sector? As our Senior Client Partner, you will play a key role in growing our Public Sector practice, acting as a trusted advisor to senior public sector stakeholders. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to foster strategic partnerships, inspire creative proposals, and drive intelligent digital transformation that delivers real public value
Key aspects of the role include:
- Creating Demand & Nurturing Relationships: Find, qualify, and develop opportunities with prospects and clients. Build and maintain trusted, peer-level relationships from delivery teams through to executive stakeholders.
- Pitching & Proposals: Inspire and lead collaborative, cross-functional teams to win new business. Uncover client needs, articulate compelling win themes, and co-create high-impact proposals.
- Planning & Pipeline Management: Develop systematic Account and Go-To-Market plans. Accurately forecast pipeline growth, extensions, and revenue alongside colleagues in delivery and finance.
- Commercial Negotiation: Partner with tech, strategy, and delivery leaders to estimate and shape balanced commercial proposals. Negotiate long-term, win-win contracts that bring genuine value to both Waracle and our public sector partners.
- Adding Strategic Value: Stay ahead of Public Sector and technology trends to bring valuable insights to clients, enhancing Waracle’s reputation as expert thought partners.
Research shows that underrepresented groups tend to only apply for roles that they believe they meet 100% of the criteria for. At Waracle, we want to buck that trend! We hire for passion, potential and mindset as much as credentials. If you think you'd be incredible in the role, then apply - even if you don't think you tick every box.
What you'll bring
- Proven track record of nurturing relationships and securing impactful work within central government departments or enterprise clients.
- Strong relational skills, with an empathetic and collaborative approach to negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management in complex organisations.
- Sound commercial stewardship and written/verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting ideas to executive and board-level audiences.
- Strong understanding of Waracle's services, digital technology trends, and the Public Sector landscape.
- Deep experience navigating public sector procurement frameworks (e.g., DOS6/7, GCloud 14/15, Tech Services 3/4, Public Contracts Scotland, Public Tender Scotland).
- High level of integrity, empathy, and resilience, alongside enthusiasm for continuous learning and innovation.
- Prior experience within the civil service or as a civil servant is welcomed, though not required.

This commitment to one another empowers everyone to do their best work and reach their full potential. We build trust, celebrate every contribution, and create a space where everyone has the opportunity to shine.
We have big goals, but we don’t try to do everything. We know there are a limited number of hours in a day, so we make every one of them count. We accomplish this by regularly pausing to assess the potential impact of our work, prioritising what matters most and then acting with purpose.
We are transparent in how we think and act. We seek and share context, give and accept feedback, and communicate openly. We take full ownership of what we deliver as individuals and as a team, and hold ourselves accountable. This openness and accountability gives us the clarity and purpose to deliver at our best.
We love what we do and find the fun in each day, celebrating our shared successes and the satisfaction of doing hard work well. We’re in this together, creating space for connection, laughter, and fun. When we look after our clients and each other, and do work we’re proud of, we go home happy.
