Infrastructure Backup and Storage Analyst

​Your Responsibilities:Manage and support enterprise backup solutions (Veritas NetBackup).Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup and restore operations.Perform regular backup validation and recovery testing.Tape rotation.Ensure successful completion of scheduled backups and resolve failures promptly.Develop and maintain backup policies, schedules, and retention requirements.Administer SAN, NAS.Provision, allocate, and manage storage resources for servers and applications.Monitor storage capacity, utilization, and performance.Perform storage expansion, migration, and optimization activities.Maintain storage documentation and asset inventory.Disaster Recovery & Business ContinuitySupport disaster recovery planning and execution.Conduct backup restoration drills and recovery testing.Ensure recovery objectives (RTO/RPO) are achieved.Participate in business continuity initiatives.Your ProfileEssential skills/knowledge/experience:Support creation of build and configuration documents Storage (PowerMax 2000 & 8000) and Backup (HP Store Once & Veritas)Monitor backup and storage infrastructure health.Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets.Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.Provide L2/L3 technical support and escalation handling.Security & ComplianceEnsure backup data security through encryption and access controls.Support audit and compliance requirements.Implement storage and backup best practices.Maintain adherence to organizational security standards.Documentation & Reporting.Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:Excellent stakeholder management at all levelsEnterprise Data CentersVMware & Hyper-V InfrastructureMicrosoft Azure / AWS CloudStorage Area Networks (SAN)Disaster Recovery SolutionsBackup Automation and Monitoring Tools
