The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Sales Consultant to join our successful Leapmotor team at Thames Motor Group.

Thames Motor Group is a family-run automotive business with dealerships in Slough and Tunbridge Wells, representing leading brands including Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Fiat Professional, Leapmotor, Nissan, OMODA, JAECOO and Chery.

Leapmotor is an exciting and fast-growing automotive brand bringing innovative electric and electrified vehicles to the UK market. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious salesperson to join the brand at an exciting stage of its UK growth.

As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience while achieving and exceeding your sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customers throughout the full sales process, from initial enquiry through to vehicle handover
• Build strong and lasting customer relationships
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales and performance targets
• Proactively follow up leads and maximise every sales opportunity
• Confidently present Leapmotor vehicles, features, technology and finance options
• Explain EV and electrified vehicle technology clearly and confidently to customers
• Deliver engaging vehicle demonstrations and test drives
• Maintain excellent standards of customer satisfaction and follow-up
• Represent the Leapmotor brand professionally at all times
• Work effectively as part of a successful and supportive sales team

About You

We are looking for an experienced salesperson with a proven track record of selling directly to customers.

You will ideally have:

• At least 18 months' direct sales experience, preferably within the automotive industry
• A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A confident, professional and customer-focused approach
• The ability to explain products and technology clearly to customers
• A self-motivated and results-driven attitude
• The ambition and determination to succeed in a competitive market
• A full, clean UK driving licence held for at least one year

Experience of selling electric or electrified vehicles would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Direct sales experience is essential. This means experience of selling a product or service directly to customers, such as cars, mobile phones, property, retail products or similar.
