Join Symtrax as an Account Executive

Mandatory e-invoicing and digital tax-reporting rules are changing how businesses manage invoice processes. Symtrax helps organisations adapt with practical automation and compliance software.

As our UK team grows, we're looking for an Account Executive ready to make their mark. If you enjoy understanding customer challenges and finding the right solutions, you'll have the support and space to broaden your skills and grow your career with us.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an Account Executive with 2 to 5 years of software or SaaS sales experience to build on their skills, grow as a consultative seller, and progress their career in the software industry.

Across the UK and Ireland, you'll represent Symtrax's SaaS and Hybrid solutions to organisations looking to improve AP, AR, e-invoicing and document automation. It's a consultative sales role where you'll connect technology to real business needs and build lasting customer relationships.

Occasional travel will be required for customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and other business activities.

What You'll Do

  • Generate and qualify your own leads through proactive prospecting and networking, and follow up on leads supplied by Marketing, guiding each opportunity from first conversation to close.
  • Build trusted relationships with finance, IT and senior decision-makers, understand their priorities, and recommend relevant software solutions.
  • Deliver engaging, consultative software demonstrations and customer presentations tailored to each prospect's needs.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and lead commercial discussions and negotiations.
  • Work closely with Solution Engineers and internal colleagues to give prospects a positive buying experience.
  • Maintain accurate sales-related records, pipeline information, and forecasts in the CRM.
  • Deliver webinars and presentations, take part in live and online speaking opportunities, and represent Symtrax at exhibitions, conferences and networking events.

What We're Looking For

  • Between 2 -5 years' experience as an Account Executive in B2B software or SaaS sales, with a proven track record of owning new business opportunities from prospecting through to close.
  • Curiosity about technology and confidence in discussing software solutions.
  • Consultative, solution-based selling skills and the ability to understand business processes and challenges.
  • Confidence in delivering software demonstrations and presentations, with clear communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to build relationships with finance, IT and senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined, with the initiative to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AP and AR processes, finance team operations, and ways to improve finance productivity and efficiency is an advantage.

Recruitment Process

  1. Initial HR screening call with our Human Resources Officer.
  2. Interview with the Sales & Marketing Manager to assess experience, skills, and role fit.
  3. Final interview with the Managing Director, including a practical sales presentation.
