Are you a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology or child development?

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Rayleigh seeking a motivated graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to put your degree into practice, develop valuable classroom experience and make a meaningful difference to children's lives.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to primary-aged pupils with additional needs.
  • Help children access learning, build confidence and develop independence.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work alongside teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Adapt your approach to meet individual learning needs and help pupils reach their potential.

Who We're Looking For

  • A university graduate with a degree in any subject.
  • Someone passionate about education and supporting children with additional needs.
  • A patient, empathetic and resilient individual with strong communication skills.
  • A graduate keen to gain practical experience before progressing into teacher training, educational psychology or a related career.

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. Our graduate programme is designed to help you gain valuable experience in education before taking your next career step.

What's on Offer?

  • £500–£530 per week, term time only.
  • A full-time position, Monday to Friday.
  • An ASAP start in a primary school in Rayleigh.
  • Hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEN.
  • A valuable stepping stone towards a future career in education.
