Mechanical Fitter and Locksmith

An engineering operation in Myjava is looking for 2 mechanical fitters. The work combines assembly, fitting and minor welding on steel parts.

Main responsibilities

• Assembly and fitting of steel parts and structures
• Reading technical drawings and working to the specified dimensions
• Drilling, grinding and finishing of parts
• Minor welding work where the assembly requires it
• Checking dimensions and the quality of assembled units
• Care of tools and reporting of faults
• Following workplace safety rules

Requirements

• Practical experience as a mechanical fitter or locksmith
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Basic welding skills are an advantage
• Basic English for communication at the workplace
• Physical fitness for the work
• Precision and a responsible approach to quality
