Family Service Worker - North West LA

£15.84 per hour PAYE

3-6 month contract - view of extension

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Family Service Worker to join our Local Authority client in the North West and make a positive difference to the lives of children, young people and their families.

As a Family Service Worker, you will work directly with families to provide early help, practical support and guidance to help them overcome challenges, build confidence and make positive changes.

Key Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children and families.
• Good written and IT skills.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel across the borough.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends

Duties include:

• Supporting children, young people and families experiencing difficulties.
• Providing one-to-one support to families in their own homes.
• Delivering parenting programmes, group sessions and evidence-based interventions.
• Identifying family needs and completing holistic assessments.
• Developing individual support plans and reviewing progress.
• Supporting families to access appropriate services and resources.
