About the role
Sales Manager Yorkshire / North East
Location Not Specified
Posted: October 28, 2026
We are looking for a driven Yorkshire/North East Sales Manager (covering from Leeds to the Scottish Borders with travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh from time to time) to join our UK Sales Team to help us grow within the region. This role will focus on servicing and developing our existing network of conversion centres, while also identifying opportunities with end-users (such as councils and fleet operators) and leasing companies.
You don’t need to know the industry and we will provide full product training, but you do need to be proactive, customer-focused and commercially aware.
What makes Rhino Products different?
As vans get more modern, so does their design. Tradespeople need van equipment that not only helps them work more safely and more efficiently but also has sleek aesthetics to complement the look of their vehicle. That’s where Rhino Products comes in.
We are Europe’s leading van accessory manufacturer who export a high-quality range of products globally. We have manufacturing sites in Deeside, Nantwich and Ellesmere Port, and warehouses and sales offices in the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Germany and France.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Execution
- Deliver against the UK sales strategy by promoting the full range of Rhino products (commercial van accessories, MR4 internal racking, and Locks4Vans).
- Work through the 3-phase UK strategy to:
- Strengthen and expand relationships with conversion partners (Phase 1).
- Increase direct engagement with end-users (fleet operators, councils, leasing companies) (Phase 2).
- Manage and develop fleet conversion programmes directly (Phase 3).
Business Development & Account Management
- Grow sales with existing customers, including vehicle conversion centres, fleet operators, and leasing companies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring Rhino’s products are specified early in the vehicle conversion process.
- Build and manage relationships with end users, procurement teams, and key stakeholders to influence vehicle equipment selection.
- Provide market insights and feedback on customer needs to support product and service development.
Quote & Pricing Management
- Prepare and manage accurate quotes, pricing, and proposals for key accounts and new business opportunities.
- Track win-loss metrics and continually improve sales strategies to improve closing rates.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Increase the number of customer visits to develop deeper partnerships and ensure strong customer retention.
- Focus on quality engagement rather than quantity of visits, ensuring meaningful interactions with high-value customers.
- Regularly assess customer satisfaction, acting on feedback to enhance the sales process and product offering.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with the Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns targeting specific market segments.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain a detailed monthly performance report, tracking key activities such as customer visits, engagement levels, quotes issued, and sales conversions.
- Monitor KPIs related to customer visits, end-user engagement, quotes, and sales, ensuring activities align with overall sales objectives.
- Provide regular feedback to the UK Head of Sales and internal teams, adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of customer visits and meaningful end-user engagements
- Win-loss ratio of submitted quotes
- Total number of quotes submitted and follow-through
- Contribution to the growth of all product categories (van accessories, internal racking, vehicle security systems)
- Quality and value of relationships developed with both conversion partners and end-users
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Proven sales experience with strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, both to individuals and groups
- Experience managing key accounts with an emphasis on long-term growth and retention
- Financial acumen, with a solid understanding of margins, pricing, and discounting
- Ability to manage a territory effectively, with a focus on quality engagement rather than volume
- IT literate with proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel across the UK as required
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of Rhino Products’ offerings or experience in the vehicle accessories or conversion sector
- Understanding of B2B marketing strategies and their application to sales
- Previous experience with CRM tools and data-driven sales techniques

- Opportunities for professional development and career growth within the company
- A dynamic, supportive team environment
