  • A recognised primary medical qualification and full GMC registration with a licence to practise.

  • Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry or another recognised psychiatric specialty, in accordance with the person specification.

  • A CCT in Psychiatry, or be within six months of obtaining a CCT or eligible for the Specialist Register.

  • Section 12(2) approval and Responsible Clinician approval, or the ability to obtain the required approval before starting.

  • Senior-level experience in General Adult Psychiatry, with demonstrable experience of working within the NHS.

  • Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and patient management skills.

  • The ability to provide clinical leadership and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • A commitment to clinical governance, audit, professional development and high standards of patient care.

  • A current driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits when required.

MRCPsych or an equivalent recognised psychiatric qualification is desirable, alongside experience in teaching, research and clinical leadership.
