About the role
Credit Controller
Based in Blackfriars, London Paying up to £28,000 DOE 5 days on site
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Credit Controller to join a busy, growing finance team based in Blackfriars. If you’re confident speaking with customers, enjoy getting to the bottom of a query and take pride in keeping things running smoothly, this could be a great next step.
Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you’ll play an important role in managing a diverse client portfolio, supporting cash collection and ensuring accounts are kept accurate and up to date.
With the business going through an exciting period of growth and change, it’s a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, make a real contribution and be part of a team that’s moving forward.
What you’ll be doing
Contacting clients by phone and email to follow up on overdue payments and resolve account queries.
Handling invoice and payment enquiries, investigating issues and keeping clear, accurate records on internal systems.
Working closely with other departments to resolve outstanding queries and help keep payments on track.
Making account adjustments where needed and ensuring client information remains up to date.
Preparing cases for litigation when all appropriate collection options have been exhausted, working closely with the central litigation team.
Flagging complaints, cancellations and other important client issues to the relevant teams.
Supporting junior colleagues with more complex queries and challenging conversations.
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in someone who is approachable, tenacious and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be able to manage competing priorities, communicate confidently with clients and approach problems with a calm, methodical mindset.
You’ll bring:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.
A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
The ability to manage your workload and prioritise effectively.
A collaborative approach and a genuine team-player mentality.
