THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a commercial Graphic Designer looking for a role where your work will be seen on some of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle fleets?

On-Board Power is seeking a talented and commercially minded Graphic Designer to join our growing Graphics & Vehicle Livery team. THE ROLE

This is far more than a traditional studio-based design role.

Working closely with clients, sales teams and production specialists, you’ll be responsible for developing creative concepts and producing high-quality artwork for vehicle liveries, fleet branding, signage and print applications.

You’ll join an experienced team of designers, technicians and installers who pride themselves on delivering exceptional work and sharing their expertise. Full training will be provided on specialist industry processes and equipment.

This role would suit a Business to Business Graphic Designer who enjoys combining creativity with real-world application and wants to broaden their experience within large-format graphics, vehicle branding and commercial design.

  • Create innovative design concepts for vehicle liveries, fleet branding and commercial graphics.
  • Interpret client briefs and transform ideas into visually engaging solutions.
  • Produce professional artwork and visual mock-ups for customer approval.
  • Develop branding, layouts, typography and visual assets in line with client requirements.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork for print, vinyl graphics and large-format applications.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams, graphics technicians and installers to ensure designs are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
  • Present and discuss design concepts directly with customers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct occasional site visits and surveys to gather project information.
  • Maintain organised project files and artwork databases.
  • Support continuous improvement of creative processes within the department.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone with a creative mindset and a strong eye for detail who genuinely enjoys turning ideas into effective visual communication.

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Ability to create original design concepts and work from client briefs.
  • Strong typography, layout and branding skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience within vehicle graphics, signs, print or large-format design.
  • Experience preparing artwork for production.
  • Knowledge of vinyl graphics, wrapping or sign-making.
  • Experience working within a commercial design environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills in:
